David Rogers Country Fair Living History Festival

David Rogers Country Fair Living History Festival

David Rogers Memorial Park

12:00 pm

8:00 pm

David Rogers Country Fair is a celebration of 19th century LaGrange County.

The cultural history event is to remember the lives of the pioneers, civil war families, and cowboys that traveled west from here. They built the farms, towns, and even some of the houses we still use today. Many left here on foot to stand for the union and emancipation. The toughness to drive cattle, bring law and order, and even survive was trained in the midwest.

David Rogers Country Fair welcomes back the wonderful Faire Wynds Entertainers with magic and a flea circus. Punch & Judy by Mousetrap Puppets is always good for a laugh. The Woolevers and the Jug Huffers bring music to the stage. These and more are part of the celebration.

Come for lunch, participate in historic crafts, play some games. enjoy the entertainment, stay for the dance. Special events during the festival include the Cowboy Joke contest (win the golden horse shoe), Cap Gun Fast Draw (win the golden gun), and the Pie Eating Contest (win the Golden Crust).

6:00-8:00 is the Folk Dance with live music by Liza and Mark Woolever.

Admission is $3 person up to $12 for groups. As always, please visit Dr. Rogers’ monument and remember his generosity.
