It’s Foodie Friday for us at the Visitor’s Center. Every Friday we decide on a local eatery for lunch. Don’t ask me why its on Fridays… somehow it’s become a “Foodie Friday” that is highly anticipated! This week we decided on Carey’s Cakery & Bake Shop in LaGrange.
This place is a hidden gem! She has bakery cases loaded with cookies, donuts, cupcakes, basically anything you can think of that is pure deliciousness. They serve lunch too, nachos, fresh sandwiches/wraps, calzones, and pizza. The sandwich and wraps you may order as a meal, which is served with a side of chips and a fresh cookie.
We all decided on nachos!
Patti ordered the Taco Nacho Supreme. Taco meat, refried beans, onions, black olives, cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes and sour cream layered between the tortilla chips!
Beth chose the Buffalo Chicken Nacho. Chicken, buffalo sauce, onions, mozzarella cheese and sour cream.
Jordan and I went with the Chicken Fajita Nacho. Grilled Chicken, green & red peppers, onions with queso sauce and sour cream.
We were all surprised at how these nachos were layered. Every bite you took had all the good toppings with it as well! We all ordered the ½ orders and we are glad that we did. Definitely, I wouldn’t have been able to eat an entire order.
Who could pass up these adorable shamrock cookies?!? I have quite the sweet tooth, so dessert is almost always necessary! These really hit the spot!
Can’t wait till Next Friday… hmmmm wonder where we will eat!?! I enjoy food & hope you enjoy these quick little blogs.
