Every year, local Amish have a Family Farm Day on farmland in LaGrange, Indiana. The event lets non-farmers, or farming equipment enthusiasts, check out how many of the common jobs are done: threshing, baling, sawing, and stripping ears of corn just to name a few. In addition to seeing the farming equipment in action, you’ll also find various machines and tractors on display, some more than 100 years old.

Now, if you did miss Family Farm Day, fear not! The Northeastern Indiana Steam & Gas Show is coming up! Mark your calendar for Aug. 8th, 9th, & 10th!

3 days of farm fun! Features will include:  Steam Plowing – 125 HP Erie Stationary Steam Engine; Threshing, Sawmills, Baker Fans, Power Eater, Antique Tractors & Gas Engines, Garden Tractors, Antique Trucks, Flea Markets, Arts & Crafts, Toy Show, Model Engine Area and more. Parade will start at 3:00 pm Friday & Saturday with a tractor pull Saturday at 9:00 am.  Admission:  $5, 12 & under free with adult admission. Great food with all camping $10/day.
