Corn School

Corn School takes place the first week of October in downtown LaGrange, Indiana and is a week-long celebration with carnival rides, games, talent shows, food vendors, parades, and the traditional vegetable awards.
One of the oldest street festivals in Indiana, Corn School started in the early 1900s as a one-day event for local boys to showcase corn that they grew in school. What was once a simple harvest awards day now draws thousands from the area for fun and games.
The Corn School Queen is crowned every year, and local businesses still contribute prizes.
