River Bassin Tournament Trail

The River Bassin’ Tournament Trail is an eco-friendly kayak fishing tournament trail in which competitors catch (and release) bass in the area’s rivers. Anglers use their smartphones to photograph the fish’s measurements, then submit them live to the tournament page so that friends and fans can follow along in real time! The longest 3 bass will be the champion, and take home part of the nearly $20,000 in cash/prizes! The best part about River Bassin’ is the fact that it is a fun, laid back festival type event, where many of the prizes (including a brand new kayak) are given away in fun random ways, which ensures that more people win instead of just those who had the best fishing day on the water. It is not for “pros” and there are many different divisions that participants can enter, including a team division, individual division, youth division and a prize awarded for the top lady angler. In general, participants in this tournament trail are friendly, help each other out and are more concerned with everyone having a good time. It is for this reason that the tournament slogan is “No Egos, Just Fun!”

Due to unexpected weather conditions the River Bassin’ Tournament Trail has been postponed to September 16, 2017.
