From Clay to Craft: Get Your Hands Dirty
Riverwood Pottery
At Riverwood Pottery in Shipshewana, the experience begins with a spinning wheel and a story from the “Accidental Potter”, Jesse Woodworth, owner. Participants with get the insider tour of the studio, and learn the ins and outs of a working pottery studio. There will be a few wheel throwing demos while you hear how Jesse wound up being the “accidental potter.” Participants will then move on to the main event, where they will get to use their inner creativity to customize a piece that was made by Jesse and stamp, carve, and paint their own designs in order to leave with a unique one of a kind item from the heart of Amish country!
