Young farmers Edward and Kara Babinec opened Springfield Acres in 2020. They sell pumpkins and operate a pick your own sunflowers experience. The farm also hosts events that often include collaborations with local businesses, an ethos they also extend to their farming practices by, for instance, using nearby Gunthorp Farms’ pigs to fertilize their fields.
