Our murals are a visitor favorite …

LaGrange County, Indiana is home to over a dozen beautiful murals, most of which are located around the town of Shipshewana. Each mural has its own meaning regarding the history of the community it is displayed within and the influential people and businesses that made LaGrange County and Shipshewana what they are today.

WALLDOG MURALS – SHIPSHEWANA

In 2014, the Walldogs spent a week in Shipshewana painting 16 murals throughout the town that have become the backdrop of many social media ‘selfies’ and are a favorite attraction for our visitors.

These murals have become even more popular recently, since they are a great social distancing activity that can be done outdoors!

NEI’S ‘MAKE IT YOUR OWN’ MURAL – LAGRANGE

Over 11 days, regional, national and international artists created 11 high-quality murals—one in each of the 11 counties of Northeast Indiana. The murals were all be unveiled on the same day, with celebrations and events taking place all over the region throughout the duration of the festival to recognize the artists and the communities. (photo by Keith James)
