And the Winners Are:

The weather this past Friday & Saturday was made for ice carving! Visitors were able to watch carvings of all sizes being created most of the day on Friday, by part-time professional ice carvers from all over the Midwest. Then they could head over to the the area behind Smokehouse Grills to check out the Hot Wing Sauce competition, try the wings, and vote for their favorite!

On Saturday, there was another whole day of fun, with five carvers competing for a first place finish in the Ice Carving Competition, and local cooks competing for the win in the Chili Cookoff!

Well, the results are in!

  • The Hot Wing Sauce Competition winner was Justin Contreras.
  • Chili Cookoff winner was Jay Chupp of E& S Sales, 2nd place was Carolyn Hostetler, and 3rd place was Rich Stoltzfus of Smokehouse Grills.
  • Ice Carving Competition winner was Mike Evans (carving is a seal, balancing things on its nose!) 2nd place was Howard Busfield (carving is a fish.) 3rd place is Bud Lies who carved a juggler tossing three rings.
If you weren’t able to make it to either day’s festivities, check out the amazing photos below!
