Auction Restaurant

Auction Restaurant

When you’re roaming around the Flea Market or spending the day at one of the auctions, sometimes the last thing you want to do is get in your car and drive to a restaurant. That’s why the Auction Restaurant’s location is perfect. Stop in and grab a hearty breakfast or fresh cooked lunch. Plus, for us, it’s right across the street making it the perfect place to grab Friday lunch.

Jalapeno Poppers

What’s a good meal without an appetizer? If you like to have a little heat to your food, try the jalapeno poppers, they’re huge! Filled with cheese and a side of ranch for dipping, you can’t really go wrong.

Tenderloin Sandwich

Call me crazy, but I’ve worked in Indiana for several years and have yet to try a Tenderloin Sandwich. I know, I know. I don’t what it was about this Friday, but I was drawn to it, and I have to say I was impressed. The breaded piece of tenderloin was tender and went great with the side of onion rings. It comes with lettuce and tomato on a Kaiser bun, but top it with anything you would like. I’m definitely going to be trying other local Tenderloin Sandwiches from now on.

Patty Melt

The Patty Melt would’ve been my second choice. My coworker ordered one and confirmed I need to try it next time. The patty was covered in gooey Swiss cheese and topped with grilled onions on toasted rye bread. My coworker (because she’s strange) added mushrooms on hers too, not my first choice. The side of sweet potato fries added was crispy just like they should be, served with their homemade sauce for dipping (I may have snuck a couple of them, so I can confirm they’re delicious).

Grilled Chicken Sandwich

My other coworker went with the grilled chicken sandwich. If you can’t tell by the picture, the chicken is seasoned perfectly with plenty of flavors. Top it with whatever you’d like, this sandwich is a great lunch option. As an added bonus, get their onion rings. A sign of a good one is if you bite in and the onion doesn’t pull out, and these passed the test.

Next time you’re at the Flea Market or auction, give the Auction Restaurant a try. Their breakfasts are the perfect way to start the day, or lunch to keep you energized. It’s where the locals go!

Companion Planting in the Vegetable Garden

Plants, like people, influence each other and some get along better together than others. The same kind of thing happens with plants in the garden with companion planting. Companion planting is when two or more crops are planted near each other with the theory that they help each other in nutrient uptake, better pest management, …
