Event Starts
Saturday, Nov 9 2024 @ 7:00 pm Parade followed by Tree Lighting There’s no better way to kick off the holiday season than with the Lighting of Shipshewana! Taking place in the first part of November each year, this spectacular one-of-a-kind event brings locals and visitors together to celebrate the community and the Christmas season. Each year, thousands and thousands of guests line the streets of our quaint town to witness this joyous event.
Parade info – 7pm Start
- Begins at Shipshewana Flea Market grounds
- Ends on St. Rd. 5 in front of Flea Market
Road Closures
- State Route 5 will be closed starting at 6pm from North Village Drive to Farver St on the South Side of Town.
- Detours will be posted to guide traffic.

- Harrison Street: Sweet Elizas, JBonz, Kukui’s, Otto’s Elephant Ears, Hilty’s, Kings BBQ, El Burro Loco, Jo’s Coffee, Mamazonis, Smokehouse, Angel’s Concessions
- Middlebury Street: Fire in the Hole Pizza, Guilt Free Donuts, Wagyu Shack, Lonestar Drinks, Lupitas, JR’s Vealburgers
- Morton Street: Randy’s Popcorn, Fire Kissed Pizza, Nelson’s, Secret Recipe, Specialty Quesadillas, Mom’s Kitchenette
Shuttle Service
- Shuttle’s will run from the Town Park to Morton St. from approximately 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
