Shop over 700 booths, a Farmer’s Market, plant and garden section, and numerous food options. Check out the weekly Antique & Livestock auctions and enjoy the outdoors walking the 40 acre grounds.

July 3 | Essenhaus Classic Car Cruise-In

Whether you are a classic car owner or a car enthusiast, this event is for you! Walk the grounds of the Essenhaus Inn & Conference Center seeing vintage and classic vehicles from 4:40 pm – 8:00 pm.

July 3 | The Rise and Fall of Miss Fannie’s Biscuits – The Musical

A new musical from the producers of The Confession Based on the book by New York Times Bestselling Author Wanda E. Brunstetter and Emmy-Nominated Author Martha Bolton. This amazing duo has baked up a delightful whodunit from Amish country. Starting at 7:00 pm.

July 3 | Bon Jovi Experience

Enjoy a night of Bon Jovi hits by the Crush Bon Jovi Experience. Led by front man and lead singer Doug Shepard, who strongly resembles Jon Bon Jovi and captures his look and his energetic showmanship, the show kicks off at 7:30 pm at the Blue Gate PAC.

Fireworks Around Shipshewana

The big event is the Topeka 4th of July Celebration. Enjoy a fireworks show, free outdoor concert, buggy races, and a full day of outdoor fun! With food trucks to eat at, a farmer’s market to shop, kids’ activities, and the highly anticipated horse-buggy races, it’s a celebration you will not want to skip!

Free Jake Hoot Concert

Winner of season 17 of NBC’s The Voice, Grand Ole Opry performer, and opener for country music legends Alabama and Darius Rucker, Jake Hoot is performing a free concert at the Topeka 4th of July Celebration.

Eat at The Blue Gate

No matter how long your stay is, you can enjoy a traditional home-cooked meal including fried chicken, slow-cooked roast beef, and homestyle Amish entrees Monday through Saturday. Pair your dish with mashed potatoes, homemade noodles, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and corn. Try an apple or pecan pie or fresh cookies and baked goods at the bakery.

Looking for some fun in the sun? Rent a canoe or kayak at T &L Country Canoes or Trading Post Outfitters to explore the Fawn River or Pigeon River. If you prefer biking or walking, the 17-mile-long Pumpkinvine Nature Trail is a perfect way to experience Amish Country. Explore the many local parks for picnics, trails, and outdoor fun, including disc golf, golf, or mini-golf. Or enjoy the scenic views of Amish Country from the comfort of your car and take the Off the Beaten Path Audio Tour to discover Amish Cottage Shops and find all 80 Barn Quilts!

Shipshewana stores will be open on the Fourth of July! So, you don’t want to miss out on shopping downtown. Explore the four stores of Davis Mercantile to find clothing, accessories, food, candy, and the vintage 1906 carousel.

Walk the charming streets of Harrison and Morton to find locally made handcrafted goods at Teaberry Wood Products, Riverwood Pottery, Plaid Umbrella, and much more! Don’t forget to stop by Yoder’s Red Barn Shoppes for two stories full of apparel, delicious food, and gifts!

Visit the Farmer’s Market in Downtown Shipshewana! Shop produce, makers, and local creators on 125 Morton St. all day long! Food trucks will be there as well so you’ll have plenty of food to choose from.

July 5 | Kansas in Concert

You don’t want to miss the iconic classic rock band Kansas live in concert at the Blue Gate PAC. Sing along to hits including Carry On Wayward Son and triple-Platinum single Dust in the Wind when they take the stage at 7:30 pm.
