Middlebury Pumpkin Race

Form a team with your family, friends, neighbors or co-workers for lots of fun.
Free registration on day of event. Beginning in mid-September, purchase an official pumpkin racer kit for $25 at Varns & Hoover Hardware in downtown Middlebury. Assemble components on your uniquely decorated pumpkin and be ready to race by 2:00! Pit Row opens at 1:00 and will have a crew to help drill holes in your pumpkin to assemble the axles and wheels if needed. Cash prizes will be awarded to race winners as well as various other categories such as most original, cutest and most spirited team.
