Plan to bundle up and get out of the house for some cool family fun!

Here’s the official schedule:

Fri. January 17th

10am: Ice Carvers begin creating their designs for the Saturday competition. Walk the downtown and enjoy the evolution from ice block to art. Ice carvings will also be created in front of 12 businesses including: Shipshewana Visitors Center, E&S Bulk Food Store, Yoder Red Barn Shops, Glow Bookstore and more!

4pm: The Icy & Spicy Wing Competition begins at Smokehouse Grills & Supply on Morton St. $10 for 8 chicken wings or an Ice Festival Pin lets you sample all the different sauces, and cast your vote, but come early! When the wings and sauces are gone, that’s it!

7pm: The contest ends and a winner is declared!

(Davis Mercantile and the Harrison St. Shops will be staying open until 8pm on Friday night.)

 

Ice Festival sculpting 7Sat. January 18th

11am: The Chili Cook-off begins at Smokehouse Grills & Supply on Morton St. $10 or an Ice Festival Pin lets you sample all of the various chilis, and cast your vote, but come early! When the chilis are gone, the competition and tasting are done!

4pm: The Ice Carving Competition ends and the winners are named at the Davis Mercantile parking area.
