VOTE for the Light Parade

The Lighting of Shipshewana is nominated for USA Today’s Best Holiday Parade! The event took second place last year thanks to your votes. Vote this year to make it number 1!

Thank you for making the 2025 Lighting of Shipshewana a holiday bash to remember

The 2026 event is set for November 7, 2026.

Mark your calendars for the first weekend in November

And like the man in red himself, check it twice to make sure you’re in Shipshewana for the 2026 holiday season!

Here’s how you can make the most out of next year’s parade!

  • Arrive early! It’s best to get here the day before and book your hotel or Airbnb as soon as possible.
  • Bring a lawn chair and claim your spot on the street. It’s a tradition for people to choose a spot the day before. Or buy a ticket for the bleacher seats.
  • Dress warm! The snow starts falling this time of year, so bring your heavy coats and hand warmers.
  • Bring cash if you want to buy Amish made goods.

The Lighting of Shipshewana starts in the morning with fun events all throughout the day with the parade starting at 6:00 PM.

Kick off your holiday season right here in Shipshewana!
