Sunrise Metal Shop, established in 1958 in Topeka, Indiana, is a family-owned business specializing in custom metalwork. Over the years, the shop has evolved to produce high-quality maple syrup evaporators, water bath canners, dog feeders, outdoor kitchens, and their flagship product, the Silver Rocket Grill. Designed to last for generations, the Silver Rocket Grill features innovative attachments and upgrades, reflecting the company’s commitment to durability and excellence.

The shop’s roots are in serving the maple syrup industry, with their first large custom pan built in 1972 still in use today. Over time, they shifted to precise welding and durable materials like stainless steel, brass, and copper to meet growing demands.

A true family endeavor, Sunrise Metal Shop is run by John and Susie Kuhns, their children, and grandchildren. Each family member contributes, from production to customer service, passing down skills and values through generations. With family making up more than half the staff, the shop embodies their devotion to faith, quality, and community.
