So, you and three of your best girlfriends are planning a few days together for some relaxation and much-needed friend time. What could a day in Shipshewana look like for you?
8am: Wake up from your restful night’s sleep in an Amish Lodging Cabin at Shipshewana North Park, and leisurely drink your coffee on the front porch swing.
9am: There’s no hurry! Breakfast is a pick-up order of the World’s Most Perfect Cinnamon Rolls from the nearby Country Corral restaurant.
10am: You’re searching for a mid-50’s retro kitchen table set and there’s no better place to find it than the Auctions at the Shipshewana Trading Place.
11am: Hit Shipshewana’s Downtown Shopping District for unique pieces from shops like Cherry Pickers, 2 Chicks and a Chair, Riverwood Pottery, and Cariloha.
Noon: For a quick and easy lunch, you stop by Jo-Jo’s Pretzels at the Davis Mercantile, and what the heck? Since you’re already there, you may as well take a quick ride (and cute selfies) on the 1906 Vintage Carousel located on the 3rd floor.
1pm: Pop into Kid’s Kreations and make a custom doll for your niece’s birthday, then look for cute clothing at the Southern Charm boutique next door.
3pm: Whew! Maybe now a relaxing ride with Buggy Lane Tours, followed by fancy latte pick-me-ups from Five Lakes Coffee for the win!
4pm: And now a relaxing stroll on the Pumpkinvine Trail to see all the beautiful spring color, and wave to all the cute farm animals you see. It’s so peaceful here!
6pm: Time for dinner! You and your friends are so excited to visit the Blue Gate Restaurant! You’ve heard that their Amish-style Buffet is unbelievable! And you’ve never seen so many kinds of pie….
7pm: On to the Blue Gate Performing Arts Center to see one of your favorite country music artists. What a fabulous show!
9pm: And now Yoder’s Popcorn while sitting and talking around the fire pit outside. What a great day it’s been! Time for another peaceful night’s sleep in your cabin, so you can do even more tomorrow!
